Summer time is the best time to get together with family, why not make it a family outing of fitness? The CDC suggests that adults should exercise at least 2 1/2 hours in a week. This includes muscle-strengthening exercise twice a week and have moderate aerobic activity the other days. It is suggested that children and youth should have at least 1 hour of exercise a day. This includes aerobic activity and moderate strength training. Yet, only 20 percent of adults and 25 percent of children and youth get the required exercise needed each day and week.
